Hey,
First off, Hellokea is not what I really want to do. I wanted to build email parsing software. When I was in the middle of building that tool, I was stuck trying to find the right tool to promote and grow my project. Though there are a lot of helpdesk and communication tools available, they were not quite what I am interested in.
As an indiehacker, you might be working on more than one project simultaneously. The hardest problem in most cases is not just building the project but marketing and maintaining it. I learned that in a very hard way. Even if you think you have built something really interesting that has potential to conquer the market, finding tools for marketing and supporting the project is hard.
After a bit of research and subscribing to multiple products for the same purpose, my monthly bill certainly exceeded my budget and left me feeling a bit overwhelmed. When you’re trying to build software and market multiple products, it can be quite tiring to promote products with different subscriptions scattered all over the internet.
Therefore, I thought it would be good to have a single place to manage all of my product’s communication and marketing needs. But it didn’t end there. I needed a tool with fine-grained control over certain communication functionalities.
And that’s the origin of Hellokea. Please let us know what you think.
